SISSY BEAR
A DAY IN THE GARDEN

Today I have been helping mama in the garden. That's because
I am a helpful sort of bear! (sometimes)
It's been so hot and dry we've been planting lots
of things that don't need much water.
It's hot out here.  I think I need some Lemonade! Can we go 
in now mama?
Look mama, I have beary good balance,
but my bottom isn't very comfortable! You never
know, I could fall and hurt myself out here. This is
too dangerous!  May I quit now?
I think this plant is trying to eat me!
Help!!!  Is it time to quit working yet?
Okay mama, what plant goes in here?
Can this be the last one?
Look mama, I'm going to fall on your plant!
It will probably kill it.
(this ought to do it!  Maybe she will say I'm done for the day.)


It worked!  
Okay I've got the honey, where's the crackers and the lemonade!
Mama you seem upset with me.  Why??
I love you mama.

    Hi Sissy, It sure looks hot where you live. You did a great job of making beautiful gardens with succulents. You are such a good gardener, may be you could come and help me, when I do Granny's gardening. She says I cant tell weeds from flowers.

    No Sissy, how could your Mama be angry with you? You are such a good little girl, helping Mom in the garden in that awful heat.

    Sometimes the extreme heat makes our humans grouchy - I am sure your Mama is not angry with you. But...our door is always opened for you, Sissy. (That should make your Mom feel real guilty - giggle, let me know if it worked).
