Goodbye Mama.
We're going on a road trip!
We are very bearpared.  we packed honey, peanut butter and crackers.

Come on Betsy, hop on.  You can come too.

Don't sit on the crackers Betsy.
Let's go around the block and make
some new friends.

It's been so cold here for the past week or so we've been doing lots of baking just so the oven can help to warm our house.

Today I'm baking Chocolate Chip cookies.
My Mama makes the yummiest Chocolate Chip cookies that a bear ever tasted!
Here's my Mama's recipe I'm sure they will be even better because I am making them.

2 and 1/4 cups unbleached all purpose flour
1 teaspoon sea salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon cinnamon mix all this together in a bowl and make sure you set it aside.  Do try to keep your paws  clean while you stir this stuff.

Next step
1/2 pound (two sticks) softened real butter unsalted
1 and 1/2 cups packed golden brown sugar
2 eggs two cap fulls pure bourbon vanilla
Here's the gooey part so make sure you keep your paws out of the bowl or they will be a sticky mess.
In a large bowl
Beat the brown sugar and butter until nice and creamy!
Add the two eggs one at a time beating after adding each one. Oops!! don't forget to add the two cap fulls of vanilla. Now you add all the dry stuff about a third at a time beating after each addition.

Add 2 cups  milk chocolate chips and mix them in with your mixer on real low speed.
drop by big heaping tbsps on to an ungreased non-stick dark coated cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees
 for 9 to 11 minutes,
cool on cookie sheet for a couple of minutes before removing to cooling rack.

Hey mama, what can I bake next?

That's it for this Friday.
We will see you next week
with Sweet Pea.

Mama has a sore throat and blows her nose and coughs coughs coughs!  It's rather disgusting. I am taking over here until further notice! Wow that sounded almost professional! giggle
I decided that I would post mama's collection of calico cats.
I love these little cats because these cats do not throw up hairballs,
they don't hiss, they don't ever have to use a cat box, they don't smell fishy
and they don't shed their fur all over me.

They are just cute!!

Mama said I did a great job with
the pictures except if you don't click to enlarge you can't see them.  Well that's kind of insulting if you ask me.
I tried my best and mama said," I know Sissy and efforts never go unnoticed."
For my great efforts I get to watch tv and have some hot chocolate for my reward.

Mama, how many marshmallows do I get?  Huh? mama? Maybe ten, okay mama?
Thank you mama
