It's been so cold here for the past week or so we've been doing lots of baking just so the oven can help to warm our house.
Today I'm baking Chocolate Chip cookies.
My Mama makes the yummiest Chocolate Chip cookies that a bear ever tasted!
Here's my Mama's recipe I'm sure they will be even better because I am making them.
2 and 1/4 cups unbleached all purpose flour
1 teaspoon sea salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon cinnamon mix all this together in a bowl and make sure you set it aside. Do try to keep your paws clean while you stir this stuff.
1/2 pound (two sticks) softened real butter unsalted
1 and 1/2 cups packed golden brown sugar
2 eggs two cap fulls pure bourbon vanilla
Here's the gooey part so make sure you keep your paws out of the bowl or they will be a sticky mess. In a large bowl
Beat the brown sugar and butter until nice and creamy!
Add the two eggs one at a time beating after adding each one. Oops!! don't forget to add the two cap fulls of vanilla. Now you add all the dry stuff about a third at a time beating after each addition.
Add 2 cups milk chocolate chips and mix them in with your mixer on real low speed. drop by big heaping tbsps on to an ungreased non-stick dark coated cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes, cool on cookie sheet for a couple of minutes before removing to cooling rack.
Hey mama, what can I bake next?
That's it for this Friday. We will see you next week with Sweet Pea.
