FUNNY FRIDAY

It's been so cold here for the past week or so we've been doing lots of baking just so the oven can help to warm our house.

Today I'm baking Chocolate Chip cookies.
My Mama makes the yummiest Chocolate Chip cookies that a bear ever tasted!
Here's my Mama's recipe I'm sure they will be even better because I am making them.

2 and 1/4 cups unbleached all purpose flour
1 teaspoon sea salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon cinnamon mix all this together in a bowl and make sure you set it aside.  Do try to keep your paws  clean while you stir this stuff.

Next step
1/2 pound (two sticks) softened real butter unsalted
1 and 1/2 cups packed golden brown sugar
2 eggs two cap fulls pure bourbon vanilla
Here's the gooey part so make sure you keep your paws out of the bowl or they will be a sticky mess.
In a large bowl
Beat the brown sugar and butter until nice and creamy!
Add the two eggs one at a time beating after adding each one. Oops!! don't forget to add the two cap fulls of vanilla. Now you add all the dry stuff about a third at a time beating after each addition.

Add 2 cups  milk chocolate chips and mix them in with your mixer on real low speed.
drop by big heaping tbsps on to an ungreased non-stick dark coated cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees
 for 9 to 11 minutes,
cool on cookie sheet for a couple of minutes before removing to cooling rack.

ENJOY!!
Hey mama, what can I bake next?

That's it for this Friday.
We will see you next week
with Sweet Pea.

  1. Hi Sissy,

Isn't it fun to "play" with the flour? It makes you sneeze, flies all over and usually ends up on your nose. Giggle.

Are all those cookies for you? WOW!

    Hugs,
    Prudence ♥

  3. That looks pretty much like LT's recipe, except she sticks in chocolate chips in milk and white, walnut pieces, m&ms, fudge bits and butterscotch bits. Yup, all in the same cookie! Sometimes she just uses white chocolate chips with dried cranberries and macadamia nuts. Either way, they stretch our stuffing ;o)

  4. Hi Sissy,

WOW!! You have Mrs. Claus' recipe for chocolate chip cookies. These are Santa's favorite. We make them too and sometimes we add walnuts or broken peppermint candy cane. We are going to see if our mom wants us to bake some today because it is really cold here too. Did you crack the eggs by yourself? We let our mom do that part because eggs are round and hard to hold on to when you have paws.

  6. Yum, yum, yum. I wish Granny would start baking. She says it's too hot to have the oven on. 45 deg. So we are down to bought biscuits because all our
christmas cookies are gone. You do look like a good cook Sissy. When it is camp time could you bring me one to taste.
    Hugs
